Lairds will be hosting a CPD events throughout the year and by appointment to interior designers, architects and other design and build professionals to teach them more about the smart home industry.
The free events, will be held at the Lairds presentation and demonstration facility in Dundonald, Ayrshire.
Accredited by both the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the CPD will feature a presentation of CEDIA’s Designing Home Cinemas and Media Room CPD.
In a move to get different professions working together on projects to provide the best solutions for their customers, the CPD is designed to help design and build professionals understand how to help clients choose and specify rooms, as well as the design principles needed for a dedicated entertainment space.
CEDIA’s 2018 UK Size and Scope survey revealed that the UK home technology market is worth around £700m and is experiencing a rise in demand for dedicated entertainment spaces, with home cinema installs increasing by nine percent.
In order to maintain this growth, the CPD will allow attendees to discover how to work together with a home technology integrator to achieve a smart home project, without compromising on design.
The events will take place alongside Lairds Tech Demonstration, giving attendees an added opportunity to experience the technologies in action and discover some of the products and solutions available, as well as networking with professionals from across the industry.
The full agenda for the events are available on request. Lairds will also be holding external demonstrations and CPD’s at partner facilities and CPD’s are also available at your premises.
