Troon to Glasgow is about forty-five minutes, so Glasgow is routine for us rather than an expedition. Survey visits, snagging and the small return trips that any install needs are all straightforward, which is worth knowing if your project is likely to run in phases.
Those flats are a pleasure to work in and a little unforgiving. High ceilings and deep bay windows give you room for proper speakers and screens, but the original cornicing, ceiling roses and lath-and-plaster are easy to damage and expensive to put right. We plan cable routes around the plasterwork rather than through it, and where a run genuinely has to cross a ceiling we will show you the route before anything is cut.
As early as you can, ideally while walls and floors are still open. First fix is when cabling costs almost nothing to install and almost nothing to change your mind about; after plastering the same cable can cost several times as much and leave marks. We are used to working alongside architects and main contractors and can issue a cabling schedule they can build to.
Usually not. Plenty of Glasgow homes already have decent speakers, a good television or existing lighting circuits worth keeping. We would rather build around equipment you are happy with and spend the budget where it actually changes things. If something genuinely is holding the system back we will explain why rather than simply listing a replacement.
Yes. Set your real room dimensions in our Design Studio and send the result over, or book an online consultation. Most Glasgow projects get to a firm shape and a realistic budget that way before we arrange a survey.
