Lairds of Dumfries
The Sir Tom Hunter Challenge
Working with local businesses
At lairds, we work with local businesses and organisations. Using our resources to benefit our community is a positive thing for our staff and us.
We have the skills and equipment to help and aim to make sure its put to good use.
This project supported The hunter foundation and The Sir Tom Hunter Challenge.
Local Ayrshire Secondary School kids pitch their business ideas in the same scenario as the west coast accelerator, where they put local businesses through their paces.
The kids were impressive. We look forward to seeing their ideas and plans come to fruition.
Local Business Support
It's part of our business culture to give back. We have learned much from organisations such as West Coast Accelerator, Ayrshire chamber and more. Amongst the charities and organisations we work with, the west coast accelerator is always a challenging and fun project. On this occasion, we were working with Sir Tom Hunter as he judged and presented the prizes to the finalists of the Sir Tom Hunter Challenge.

Lairds provided the popup screen, HD projector, microphones and background audio and lighting.
A small but significant project that we very much enjoyed.
