Did you know that the team here at Lairds are proud charity supporters of Hansel? Hansel is a leading social care provider, based in the West of Scotland, offering a range of services to people living with disabilities.
Hansel not only assists people with additional support needs but supports their families too. This is to ensure that they can make the most of life every day. This is done by providing a wide range of services and activities. The approach from Hansel is to deliver the right support for an individual to feel empowered, find their voice, and experience equality, choice, dignity and respect. Giving every individual that they support the freedom to be heard, freedom of choice and the freedom to live.
While we don’t do any sponsorship, being able to offer support for charities in the local community is a priority within our business. We loved being able to support The Hansel Foundation Winter Ball, based at the Brigadoon House Hotel in Alloway, Ayr. Working with the Hotel and the Musicians, we created a cozy and fun atmosphere as we brought a number of systems to the venue. Using a PA system with 24 Track Mixing Desk, along with Vocal and Instrument Microphones, we ensured the best sound possible was used for their night. As a result, the glitz and glamour were sure to be turned on with laser projection and lighting, as well as a haze machine, ensuring it to be one of the best events in Ayrshire.
Along with supporting Hansel, we have also taken the great pleasure in installing a sensory room at Broadmeadows. Their sensory room was installed into their respite cabin, with equipment including a specialist lighting system, a wireless projector, an adjustable screen and speakers. Alongside this, we put a star and rocket ceiling up, as well as a huggable wall, using purple and blue fur. As a result, this went down a treat, with both staff and customers, who were able to watch their favourite movie, or listen to their favourite band, without disrupting others nearby.
If you could support Hansel in any way, then please drop a donation into the JustGiving link attached: http://www.justgiving.com/hanselfoundation – or why not start your own fundraiser to help and support? Or even look at volunteering for them once Covid guidelines allow. Every little bit of help makes a big difference.
We have also supported the Ayrshire Hospice Autumn Ball at Seamill Hydro’s Firth Pavilion; using the equipment that we previously installed into the Firth Pavilion, we managed the entire technology requirement for the Ayrshire Hospice. From liaising with them prior to the event, we set up images and graphics for the digital signage, music, auction, video displays and even the Roving HD camera. As a result, this meant we could relieve the Hospice of the stress to help let them focus on raising funds.
We understand that over a year in a pandemic is going to have added a lot of strain to non-profit charities, as the events they would run to fundraise money have not been able to go ahead. As proud charity supporters, we want to be able to offer a hand in comfort to those who need it most. Are you looking to plan an event once restrictions allow and are looking for technological help? Then don’t hesitate to get in contact with our team to see how we can help. Or why not investigate our pop-up cinema and bringing the local community together through a film? There are no limits to your ideas, and we would be happy to listen to them to see whether we could help support or not.
